Rule #1: Do Not Look at the Camera at ALL Times!

We finally shot our pre-wedding MV today with Hanzfoto. It was almost a whole day affair! We started at 10:30am right up to 4:30pm. Very very tiring indeed. Thanks to all our friends who helped out playing cameo roles and of course our main supporting actor, i.e. my cousin Kelvin. :) All in all it was pretty fun I would say. Friends were laughing and being their natural self (despite Flo always wanting to look at the camera).

Despite that, the MV is still not finished yet *sweat*. We have scheduled another time for part 2 in September. Hopefully everything can kau tim on that day and again will need my friends and my main supporting actor to be there too. So heart them all to take time off for the wedding MV. *hugs*

Pre-Wedding Photos (Sneek Peak)

After almost 6 months of waiting ... here is my pre-wedding photos from Red Bliss. Am quite pleased with the outcome although I can't say the same for their service. We always have to call them for updates. Even when they promised to call, they never. Hmmph ~

If you ask me, the thing I love about Red Bliss is that all of their photos are very natural - no funky touch-ups with bedazzled stars and fairies flying all around. Even the photoshop is tailored to be as natural as possible. Of course, I heart the make-up too - if I have not hired one, I wouldn't mind hiring the one in Red Bliss who painted made me up for the photoshoot.

In FRIM - there is something very serene
in the photo which I like.

Traditional kua. I think I look good in red *perasan*

This is one of my favorite shots - Nice gown,
Beautiful make-up & hairdo, Perfect ambiance & lighting.

With Bear looking dashingly hot :)
Some say I look Victorian, Some say I look like a Nyonya.

Being made-up in the studio

The piano series which I absolutely heart also.

In conclusion, I have nothing to complain about Red Bliss. In fact, I never had any expectations as all which is good - the higher your expectations, the more disappointed you'll be. And being a stressful and worrywart bride over petty issues is so not worth it.

Devilish Hen's Night

Remember part 1 of my hen's lunch with my girlfriends? This time round for part 2, I had my hen's night organized by my dear colleagues in Rootz. My first time there actually.

The theme for that night was Horny Devil (i.e. me). My angels must all dress in white and I was very amused when all 15 of them guys and girls (except for two who came in black .. sheesh spoil market!) came in white. Of course, I must dress in red.

It was really enjoyable - we danced the night away and there were more than enough booze for everyone! We all had fun with no hanky-panky involved. Am so blessed to have such fun and close-knitted colleagues. Makes the workplace somewhat more bearable. :) So heart them all ok!

My Horns + Spear + Sash

Without further a due, here are the pictures :

My Angels all pretty in a row

Still sober enough to take nice pictures

My two male side-kick

Even the boys are all in white

Here is one of the culprit who came in black! hmmph~

Almost mabuk

Did I mention we had FIVE bottles? Kena sabo kau-kau by the boys

If I had to drink, you also have to drink ok!

By the second half of the night, everyone was tipsy and delirious with happiness and funny things start happening. No one puked that night ok ... in case if you were wondering. :)

Started doing the chicken dance

Started being cute and kawaii

Started harassing other girls

There are more obscene funnier pictures of myself and the colleagues but I shall save ourselves from embarrassment by not posting up. Whatever that happened in Rootz, shall stay there. Chapter close.

And thanks babe for organizing. *hugs*

A happy tipsy bride with the organizer

Something blue

Something old, something new
Something borrowed, something blue
And a silver sixpence in her shoe.

Some of you may not have heard of this age-old wedding traditions before. In the Western world, this is actually quite common.

Something Old represents the link with the bride's own family and the past; particularly mother or grandmother or even most distant relations. Something old is symbolic of continuity. To symbolize this link brides may choose to wear a piece of antique family jewelery which belonged to the relative. Alternatively they may select something from the mother's or grandmother's wedding gown. Other things that may be chosen include a handkerchief, a scarf or a piece of lace.

Something New represents good luck and success and the brides hopes for a bright future in her new married life. The wedding gown is often chosen as the new item but it could be anything that is purchased new for the wedding. Wearing a new item on your wedding day conveys the message that you and your husband are creating a new union that will endure forever.

Something Borrowed represents to the bride that friends and family will be there for her on the special day and in the future when help is needed. Anything can be 'borrowed' but it must be returned afterward.

Something Blue is the symbol of faithfulness, purity and loyalty. Often a blue item worn today is the garter. In olden times the couple wore blue bands on the border of their wedding attire to denote, love, modesty, and fidelity.

And my wedding band sums up the entire tradition. It is a simple band set in pure platinum with little diamonds. Above all, the inside of the band has a small sapphire set in - something blue which represents faithfulness, purity, and loyalty. I have always had a thing for blue sapphire stones.

And now .. you know the story behind our wedding bands.

Wedding Hairstyles

I have decided what hairstyle to do for the wedding and have promptly sent an email with the pictures as reference to Ally, my make-up artist.

For church, I am going with something classy and vintage. I am opting for a low-bun with fresh flowers. Very English don't you think so? I think it goes with the overall Spring Theme. :)

For dinner, I am going for something more fun and flirty. I intend to do a half updo - something more simple and natural. I want my hair to flow down naturally with soft curls. Of course, again if can I want to use fresh flowers too.

What do you girls think?

Invites - (Almost ) Settled! (part 2)

Came back from Storybo*k last Wednesday and the outcome of the final cards were awesome! Way exceeded our expectations. Am so pleased with Enya! Best is that, she thought us how to further enhance the cards in terms of appearance for free. I would definitely recommend Storybo*k to anyone who wants to do their wedding invites, birthday cards, and any occasion cards. They also customize photo albums, calendars, mugs, and wedding favors. I told her what I had in mind for the church favors and she gave me more creative ideas to improvise it! Fantastic I tell you.

Here are the rows and rows of cards that we 'rejected' - 10 cards in total!!! All these cards are custom-made exclusively for us! Let me remind you, designing of the cards are totally free. We only need to pay the 50% deposit upon agreeing on the final design before printing. Am very very pleased! :) :)

I won't show the final design - want it to be an element of surprise. Will post it up once the invites are sent out. To some of you, watch out ... our 'saman' is on their way very soon!
