When in Melbourne, do like how the Aussies do

Every city in the world looks more or less the same - its either the country is more developed or not. Or if the city is clean or not. So, while we were in Melbourne City ... we did like what the locals did - we clowned around!

By the way, that was one hell of a scary alien clown ok! Did I tell you that I HATE CLOWNS??? *urgh*

No, seriously we did clown around the city! People were staring at us ok. This set of statues were right smack at the junction of the traffic light. And yup we decided to make a fool out of ourselves during the peak hour, when working people are walking back to their homes. We ended the 'session' by loudly exclaiming that we were Singaporeans. :p

The thing I like about Melbourne City aside from its hustle and bustle (and being in a developed and civilized country) is that they take artwork to new heights! I mean where can you find a big ass purse in the middle of the city wei????

Not only that, the pavement in the back alley is awesome! Even more awesome than our walkway along Bukit Bintang! And the alleys are sprayed with graffiti too - mind you amazing ones ok, not some shitty job like those you find along the riverbanks of Klang River (near Masjid Jamek LRT station).

The city even has a library buried underneath its grounds!!! Yes ... a scary thought, isn't it? Looks like global warming came early to Australia and the country is sinking inch by inch. *shudder*

Of course, what is Melbourne without its infamous trams?? Nowhere in the world can you stop in the middle of the road, wait for the lights to turn amber, then make a hoop-turn. But, hoop-turn at your own risk ok! The first time Bear did it, we were nearly killed by the tram. Not a funny situation at all.

When you are in the city, please take time off the drop by to the CLEANEST WET MARKET IN THE WORLD - i.e. the Queen Victoria Market. I was really fascinated ok ... people are selling poultry and fish and there was no unbearable stench! Mind you, the place is air-conditioned also ok! We Malaysian must really learn from them. And I have not even talk about the toilets yet! The wet market toilet is even cleaner than our Jaya Jusco toilets!!! Hats off to the Aussies!

Melbourne is also known for its Universities and I couldn't help but to take a picture with the place that I graduated from (although I did my full degree in Malaysia). I am an RMIT graduate ok! *proud*

Noticed that Aussie are also a whole liberal lots. No matter which public toilets I go to, I will always see this particular needle box. This is also something that Malaysia should emulate with the rising sampah masyarakat number of hooligans loitering around KL syringing themselves to death. At least if they die also they will die by themselves and not throw used needles everywhere and endanger the lives of innocent people like myself.

A short distance away from the city is the beach known as St. Kilda and Brighton. The houses here are really nice :). This is the destination for pre-wedding photos ... I have seen a lot of them using these colored huts as background.

Of course, to end the day in the city .. you must again behave like how the local does. Loiter around the pavement like you are drunk. And try to pick a fight. Just like how the locals live their lives on Friday and Saturday nights. :)
